Born from the Jets - Saab

Saab was founded by 16 aircraft engineers, and their spirit lives on. To this date, features of Saab vehicles are inspired by aircrafts produced by Saab - AB. After all, aviation is an industry that requires boldness and vision, as well an understanding of advanced technologies and a passion of uncompromising performance*.

Did you know?
1) Saab vehicles are manufactured by Saab Automobile AB (a subsidiary of GM).
2) The name Saab comes from "Swedish Aircraft Company".
3) After World War II, due to intermittent demand for jets, Saab decided to compete in what they believed would be a postwar automotive boom.
4) Saab's very first automotive project, the Saab 92, was handmade by a team of 16 aviation experts.
5) The Saab 92 featured one of the most aerodynamic profiles ever designed. To this day, its drag coefficient* level of 0.31 is still viewed as competitive.

Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate is British artist Anish Kapoor's first public outdoor work installed in the United States. The 110-ton elliptical sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly polished stainless steel plates, which reflect the city's famous skyline and the clouds above.
A 12-foot-high arch provides a "gate" to the concave chamber beneath the sculpture, inviting visitors to touch its mirror-like surface and see their image reflected back from a variety of perspectives. Inspired by liquid mercury, the sculpture is among the largest of its kind in the world, measuring 66-feet long by 33-feet high.
Cloud Gate sits upon the At&T Plaza, which was made possible by a gift from AT&T.

Ek Purana Mausam Lauta

ek puraana mausam lauta, yaad bhari purvayi bhi

aisa to kam hi hotha hai, wo bhi ho tanhaayee bhi

yaadon ki bauchaaron se jab palke bheegne lagti hai

kitni soundi lagthi hai tab maanjhi ki ruswaee bhi

do do shaklen dikthi hain is behke se aayine mein

mere saath chala aaya hai aapka ik saudayee bhi

khamoshi ka haasil bhi ik lambi si kamoshi hai

unki baath suni bhi humne, apni baat sunayi bhi.

With all that Smoke there must be Fire somewhere..

Yes, the fire is here on my blog. I believed smoke can create beautiful patterns until recently I proved myself when I took this picture. Well, how I took it is my little secret and I will let you scratch your brains over this.

Please enjoy the snap and let me know your expert comments and suggestions.

About Smoke:

1) A cloud of fine particles suspended in a gas

2) A hot vapor containing fine particles of carbon being produced by combustion

3) Something with no concrete substance

4) For Automotive geeks, smoke is a suspension in air of small particles resulting from incomplete combustion of fuel. It is commonly unwanted but may also be used for pest control and communication. Smoke sometimes also is a component of internal combustion engine exhaust gas, particularly diesel exhaust

5) Smoke is an American motion picture released in 1995

6) Smoke also known as Unit LK7T2, is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise

7) Smoke is an album by Paul Kelly and Melbourne bluegrass band, Uncle Bill, released in 1999

About Smoke and Bollywood:

1) Bollywood blamed for teenage smoking

2) The government said no new films or TV programs can portray smoking and old films must carry warnings if they do

3) About 800,000 Indians die a year from smoking-related illness

4) We all smoked because of the peer group, not because people in cinema were smoking - Bollywood producer Shyam Benegal

5) Superstar Shahrukh Khan announced, that he would try to quit smoking, on the eve of his 40th Birthday

6) It is a good move to ban smoking because a lot of young children tend to imitate actors - Actress Kareena Kapoor

Enjoy,

Thanks for visiting.

Igniting the Spark

SandyI am always fighting with myself to prioritize things in life. Until now my work has always got an upper hand over my desire to try different things in life. But this time, my aspiration for photography has awoken. Thanks to Vishal and Niket for igniting the spark.

"Drawings with Light" is my first attempt at pursuing my hobbies. Playing guitar is still high on my list.

This photograph is special to me since it is taken by my best friend Vishal. I would like to dedicate this one to you, Vishal.

Also thanks to Vishal Barge, my roommate and also a good friend for his advice. Recently I bugged him about focal Length, Shutter Speed and ISO Speed.
